SATO’s CSR Declaration
SATO’s CSR aims to contribute to society by engaging in our main business. We do not think of the general thrust of our CSR activities as reflecting and fulfilling the commitment of SATO’s top management – our CSR itself is simply the way our business has developed over the years. It embraces both corporate culture and climate. So, while top management is important for CSR, it is just one factor of CSR.
This is why SATO’s CSR will not change with changes in top management policy, such as expansions in sales and business diversification. Neither will it change with the pursuit of profits and growth. Nor will it change despite changes in top management itself. The ideals that SATO pursues and indeed SATO’s business itself bring together societal and environmental concerns, creating value and sharing the benefits among shareholders, employees, society and the company itself (FOUR-WAY RETURNS TO STAKEHOLDERS). These four stakeholders form a virtuous circle of contribution made through SATO’s business, with all four enjoying remarkable success. This is the SATO circle.
The SATO Definition of CSR
CSR is the all-inclusive term used to denote SATO’s promotion of contribution to society made through its main business. On a day-to-day basis, management and staff do what needs to be done to maintain SATO’s position as a company trusted and welcomed by society.
