Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as of 11th Jan 2021, has announced tighter measures to contain the spread of Covid19 with the recent four-digit daily jump in cases in this country. MCO will be re-implemented from 13th to 26th January 2021 in Selangor, Federal Territory (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya & Labuan), Penang, Malacca, Johor and Sabah. Whilst CMCO will be implemented in Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Kedah and Terengganu, and RMCO in Sarawak and Perlis.
Please be informed that SAM shall be operating as usual as we fall under essential service provider (Please refer to the letter of approval by MITI to SAM – CIMS as per attached below) for your reference.
Adhere to the latest MITI & MKN SOP, only 30% of the workforce will be working physically at office and remaining staff who does not require physical attendance, the Work From Home (WFH) directive shall apply. Whereas inter-State & inter-District travelling only be allowed for work purposes.

SAM – CMCO & RMCO Responses as of 02.01.2021

Latest announcement by Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob, CMCO has been further extended for another 2 weeks,
scheduled from 1st Jan till 14th Jan 2021 due to the high number of active cases in affected areas. The existing CMCO will be implemented in all districts in Selangor with the exception of Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor; CMCO in these three districts has been be lifted as per scheduled on 6th Dec 2020.
The CMCO in all districts in Sabah as well as Johor Bahru and Batu Pahat has also been extended until 14th January 2021. Besides that, it was also announced that the nationwide RMCO will be extended till 31st March 2021.

SAM – CMCO Responses as of 18.12.2020
Dear Valued Customers, Business Partners & Suppliers,
Following to the recent announcement by Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sabah due to the risk assessment from the Health Ministry, who feels that the Covid-19 figures in the states are still at a high. CMCO will be extended from 20th Dec till 31st Dec 2020.
For Selangor, the order applies to all districts except for Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor which has returned to recovery MCO on 6th Dec 2020.
In other states, CMCO has also been extended to 31st Dec as for the following districts: Seremban and Port Dickson districts in Negri Sembilan; Johor Baru, Batu Pahat and Kulai districts in Johor; Mukim 12 and Mukim 13 in Penang, as well as Ipoh and Chemor in Perak.
Please be informed that SAM shall be operating as usual. Our staff who needs to travel within district/ inter-district for work has been furbished with ‘Official Letter to work’ & MITI Approval letter.

SAM – CMCO Responses as of 05.12.2020

Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sabah will be extended for another 14 days from 7th Dec till 20th Dec 2020, except these three districts; Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor. Once CMCO is lifted these districts will fall under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), YB Datuk Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob in his announcement on November 7, 2020 informed that the Special National Security Council (Majlis Keselamatan Negara) Meeting has decided to allow all economic sectors in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and Terengganu to continue operations during this Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period on condition that there is strict compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
While Klang Valley, Putrajaya and Selangor, CMCO will be extended for another 28 days, effective from 9th November 2020 till 6th December 2020. Enforcement activities during this period would be tightened in view of the rise in Covid-19 cases in these states. Movement in and out across CMCO areas is not allowed except for work purposes.
Please be informed that SAM will be operating as usual. Our staff who needs to travel within district/ inter-district for work has been furbished with ‘Official Letter to work’ & MITI Approval letter.
Furthermore, in the effort to provide a safe and conducive environment at the workplace, all staffs are reminded to abide by the ‘COVID-19 RETURN TO WORK WORKPLACE PROCEDURE (SOP)’ that has been prepared by Business Continuity Plan’ (BCP) team.

Due to COVID19 cases spike off in central region recently, Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) has been enforced for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya starting from 12.01am on 14th October 2020 till 27th October 2020. Please be informed that SAM is approved to operate as usual throughout CMCO by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) as we are part of the supply chain provider in essential services (Refer the below attachment).

The government recently has announced the enforcement of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in another four areas namely Sandakan, Tuaran and Papar in Sabah and Klang, Selangor effective two weeks starting from 9th October 2020. This was due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
SATO has make some arrangements for those workers who resides in this identified affected areas, or commuting to work from these locations and management has allowed them to work remotely from home. The rest of our operations will continue as normal and adhere strictly to current SOP.
Following up to Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) that has urged all companies in Malaysia to register their details on COVID-19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) 3.0, please be informed that SATO has registered our self. Therefore, we would like to encourage our suppliers to follow suit and get yourself registered on the system via https://notification.miti.gov.my . This registration is pivotal to ensure the companies’ workers movement and operations are well-monitored by the authorities throughout the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period.

SAM – MCO Response as of 18.03.2020
In line with YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia recent announcement on 16th of March 2020, he has officially promulgated the restricted activities order under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and the Police Act 1967 due to global pandemic of Covid19. Therefore, effective from 18th March till 31st March 2020, Malaysia officially has implemented the Movement Control Order (MCO) for Phase 1. This involves closure of of all government and private premises except those involved in essential services only.
Considering on the impact of business activity and operation due the temporary operation closure; SATO has commenced ‘Business Continuity Plan’ (BCP) and started to initiate and implement a number of activity & action plans to ensure the safety of our stakeholders & our business activity are sustained during this challenging time.
Following up on this urgency, SATO has applied and obtained an approval from Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna (KPDNHEP) as of 24th March 2020, to continue operation throughout the MCO with limited number of staffs; while taking all the necessary precautionary measures and abide to all the rules & regulations set by the government.
While this approval is still valid for the extended MCO under Phase 2 which starts from 1st April – 14th April 2020.
