3. Are SATO printers certified by professional bodies to be anti-microbial?
Yes. Our WS2, CT4i, CG2, FX3, TH2 printers are certified to comply with anti-microbial activity guidelines by JIS Z 2801:2010 / ISO 22196 standards.

4. Useful tips for cleaning anti-microbial printer surfaces:
DO’s
- Make sure printer is powered down and unplugged before cleaning.
- Spray cleaning agent onto lint-free cloth and gently wipe printer surface instead of spraying directly on printer surface.
- SATO printer exterior should be cleaned safely using Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).

DON’Ts
- Do not spray cleaning agents directly on printer surface as liquid might get inside the printer and damage internal components.
- Do not use wipes or cloths that are too wet to avoid liquid from dripping inside the printer.
- Do not use rough cloths or paper towels to clean printer surfaces to avoid scratches.
- Do not use any harsh cleaning agents such as bleach or ammonia to avoid risking printer surface damage.
